Who we are

ChinaCopilot (“we”, “us”) operates https://chinacopilot.app — navigation checklists, place-name helpers (website and Chrome extension), optional paid tools, and a paid visa document desk.

What we collect

Depending on how you use the site, we may process:

• Usage analytics (for example page views and product events) via Google Analytics or similar, if configured — typically IP-derived approximate location, device/browser type, and referrer.
• UTM and campaign parameters stored locally in your browser so we can attribute visits.
• Content you voluntarily submit (for example interest forms, dining/venue reports, contract page images for paid audit, lodging worksheet fields).
• Payment and entitlement signals from Stripe Checkout — we do not store full card numbers on our servers.
• If you use the visa document desk: identity and travel details you submit (name, nationality, date of birth, passport number and expiry, contact details, case notes) and files you upload (passport bio page and supporting PDFs or photos). Those records are stored for the agent handoff and support, not in a public bucket.
• Optional Telegram identity if you open tools from a Telegram Mini App menu button.
• If you use the Chrome extension: the English (or other) text you select or type for a place-name lookup. We send that query to chinacopilot.app, which may query Amap Web Service. We do not read your full browsing history.

Chrome extension

The ChinaCopilot Place Names extension (Manifest V3) requests: contextMenus (right-click on selected text), storage (last city / last result on this device), activeTab and scripting (to show a result card on the page you invoked), and host access only to https://chinacopilot.app for the lookup API.

The extension does not request payment permissions, does not scrape Dianping or Meituan, and does not run on every page in the background. Results are shown only after you select text or search in the popup.

How we use data

We use data to operate and improve the free navigation product, deliver paid unlocks, prepare a visa file for handoff to an independent visa agent when you order that service, prevent abuse, and respond to support requests.

Contract images and worksheet fields are processed to generate the tool output you requested. Do not upload content you are not allowed to share.

Cookies and local storage

We use browser local storage for stage preferences, share/UTM context, and paid entitlements on this device. Clearing site data removes local unlocks; keep your Stripe receipt email.

Third parties

We rely on processors such as Vercel (hosting), map/search providers (for example Amap Web Service for place lookup), analytics providers, Stripe (checkout for live SKUs), AI providers when you run contract audit, and the independent visa agent who receives a visa-desk file after you pay the deposit.

Those providers process data under their own terms. We do not sell personal data.

Retention

Serverless deployments may not persist every form submission. Visa orders and uploaded files are kept so we can hand the case to the agent and answer support questions. Email support@chinacopilot.app after a case is closed if you want that file deleted. Analytics and merchant records follow each provider’s retention. Local browser data remains until you clear it.

Your choices

You can refuse analytics via browser controls, clear local storage, and email support@chinacopilot.app to ask about access or deletion of data we hold that identifies you.

Changes

We may update this policy; the “Updated” date at the top will change. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
